We're Pregnant!

Picture of an 8 week old fetus.

Hi Everyone,

We are pregnant--again! Baby Trinder #2 is 8 weeks 4 days today. Baby T is due 1/21/10. Everything "looks great" according to our OB. We are so excited!

I was reflecting back at my experience with life and pregnancy just four, short years ago. I thought I would share some things that have changed and some that have stayed with same...

Changed in the past four years:

-I am a Mommy of a three and half year old, diva/tomboy! My little E!
-The fact that I am recording my thoughts, ideas, and feelings on a BLOG!
-The craziness and connectedness of facebook, myspace, and twitter. I "got the word out" about Baby T via a post on Facebook. I didn't even know what facebook was four years ago.
-My crackberry, er, um, I mean blackberry. My other arm. I had an LG flip phone when pregnant with Elayna and wasn't that keen on texting at the time.
-Mentally: more prepared... I know what to expect, not so nervous.
-Different position at work: Clinical Educator for Progressive Care. Four years ago I was a Clinical Manager for a unit of Progressive Care (LLA), working at the bedside with direct patient care. This time around we are figuring out my office location in the new, South Tower. Really, my own office with my own laptop, pinch me! I am so grateful!
-I have a Honda Pilot (will never drive anything else!), no more Exploder (I mean Explorer!).
-Then the sad stuff... people have passed who were really close to us--my Grandpa O'Brien, Larry Quimby, Audrey Simpson, and Terry Pietrek. My Grandma was well four year ago... now she is dying of cancer. :-(

Stayed the same:

-The love of my life, Nick. Best friend and husband. Soul mate extraordinaire!
-Our supportive families and friends... across the country and close to home.
-We live in the same house.
-I work for the same hospital and service line (Progressive Care--5th Year!).
-Nick works for Freightliner (10th year!).
-Ben is still our crazy, lovable, weird-o cat!
-My love for God, my family, friends, and life!

Bye for now! Follow me on Twitter too. :-)
