E and Me
So, we are going to have some issues from one sweet little girl when Mama goes to the "hop-it-all" (aka hospital). I will not mention any names to protect the innocent.
Yup, she is not a happy camper and fearful of me being gone. She holds my hand tightly and says, "Mommy, I just want to stay with you forever." Drop off at preschool has been heart-wrenching and miserable (I call and 5 minutes later she happily playing... but oh the guilt as I drive off the work). Bed time is a mess. Nick is sick right now (bad head cold, sore throat, the works). I am 39 weeks pregnant and things are a bit of mess in the Trinder household, but as my Mom says, "There is no blood."
I have to reflect on something pretty cool: I have be so very thankful as I have had one amazing pregnancy. I still do everything at 39 weeks that I always did pre-pregnancy--I work full-time (I still respond to the stroke alerts and code blues), pick up and drop off E from school, shop with Elayna and Nick, take care of our girl (and all that comes with caring for a toddler: lifting, etc.), clean, vaccuum, and we totally spring cleaned to house. That was a HUGE job, and we are so glad that is done! Nick and I haven't really changed anything because I am pregnant. That is pretty good, I think! So I am officially giving myself a pat on the back for this!
Thank you, God, for taking care of me and my family when we needed it most.
