New Year's Moment of the Night

At dinner at our house last night we heard the strangest sound outside, like a baby crying. Turns out it was the neighborhood stray cat (who we have named: Penelope Whitebody). After investigation that it is just a cat...we all come back to the table, and Nick still looks horrified and says, "I seriously thought someone dropped a baby off on our porch... Happy New Year, Trinders." The whole table erupts into laughter--milk comes out of my nose and my Mom chokes on an almond, classic.
