ouch!

Little man was circumcised on Monday. He was so upset! He couldn't eat for 2 hours prior to the procedure (scheduled for 11:15am). I did feed him from 9-10am. Thank goodness I did because our doctor was running 1 hour behind!! On a side note, Nick and I swear we saw Kate's (from Jon and Kate Plus 8) twin in the waiting area... Short spiky 'do, demanding, and obvious wore the pants in the marriage. Ah, to people watch in the waiting room.

Anyway... Once called back, I went with Jack to the procedure. It took about 15 minutes total. Nick was there with me for support. But, I went with little man into the procedure room. Nick (just talking about it) got queasy, kept flinching, and covered his own private area with his hand every time the word circumcision was mentioned. I am certain he would have passed out!

Jack weighs 9 lbs 9 oz and is 22.75 inches long. He is in the 75% for weight and 97% for height. He is eating every 1-2 hours, and this completely normal for his size. This will continue for about another 2 weeks.

We follow up in one week with the doctor as this is our first experience with a circumcision... Poor little red "potty parts" (as E says)... Lots and lots (and lots) of vaseline! Baby Tylenol has been wonderful as well.

Jack has been a bit fussy (as to be expected), but is still pretty mild mannered and my good boy.
