Elayna Nicole was a wonderful "tapper!"
Nick and I met at my parent's house after work and took E to tap class. We did a little bribing on the way over, not going to lie, but she did it!
She gave us each a hug and kiss, held her teacher's hand, and off she went... tapping away. We watched from the parent's area. She also participated in tumbling tonight--summersaults and cartwheels. She did her best at the bar where she could "swing like a monkey."
For a treat, we went as a family to Chick-fil-A. A little boy came up to her and started bullying her a little and said in a mean tone, "I'm bigger than you!" Nick and I were right there and watched closely. Elayna, normally pretty shy, said to him, "What the heck!? I am bigger than you." She got right next to his face, gave it right back, and smiled.
The little boy backed down and said, "Hey, do you want to play?" Elayna said, "Sure!" And off they went to play. Nick and I were amazed, our little balleria in her tutu stood up to an older boy in a firm, but nice way. Way to go, E!
Elayna is growing up so fast. I am proud of the little person she is becoming. I liked how she stood up for herself, but wasn't mean. She took a chance and tried something new, tap and ballet! Love you, Layner Buggy!

I do remember a pic of the two of us on my grandma's front porch forever ago! Your daughter is so cute! Congrats on baby # 2! Get ready for things to get fun and crazy! I probably would like your husbands parents! If my hubby would move back on a farm I would love to open a CSA. Farm prices are crazy in Iowa though.
Keep in touch and I'm glad I have your blog so I can do the same!
